Valley Craft Studio is a fully equipped studio, set in the heart of picturesque Constable Country on the Essex/Suffolk border. Founded by Fiona, with her art degree and years of crafting experience, the studio was set up as a space for herself and others to create beautiful artwork. Fiona produces decorative and practical work which can be found for sale in the local area… she also welcomes commissions.
Here at Valley Craft Studio we offer you the chance to get away from it all while trying your hand at creating something unique. Our courses offer you (and your friends) the perfect opportunity to escape and relax. Why not extend the relaxation and enjoy a late afternoon stroll - Flatford (setting of John Constable's 'The Hay Wain') is just 2 minutes’ drive from the studio. Here you can soak up the natural beauty of the surrounding area and be inspired for your next mosaic masterpiece.
Within 2 minutes' drive of the studio there are several lovely restaurants and cafes where you could sample delicious, local produce to complete your day.

A Day on the Tiles - One-day Mosaic Course - no experience necessary - £60
We offer a one day course where you can create a decorative plaque. You will leave with a completed mosaic, plus the necessary materials and instructions to grout your mosaic at home. (We do offer a grouting and return service for a nominal fee.)
Our one-day mosaic course will guide you through the complete process of creating your mosaic - from initial design, using the specialist tools through to completion.
All tools and materials are provided. If you have something specific which you would like to incorporate into your design then please bring it along. It's great if you already have an idea of what you want to accomplish in your one-day mosaic course, but if you don't then we can look at it together on the day!
We will be stopping for a quick lunch break at a suitable point in the day. Light refreshments are provided but we suggest you bring along your packed lunch too.

A Night (or morning, or afternoon!) on the Tiles - 2.5 hour mosaic course - no experience necessary - £30
We offer a 2.5 hour course where you can create a unique set of coasters. You will leave with your competed mosaics, plus the necessary materials and instructions to grout your coasters at home. (We do offer a grouting and return service for a nominal fee.)
*Two or more of these shorter sessions can be booked to complete a garden sphere or other longer project if this suits you better.
Our taster mosaic course will guide you through the complete process of creating your mosaic - from initial design, using the specialist tools through to completion.
